Jenko has designed a unique new board game will be officially launched in Hull by two dads who initially developed it to help their families learn Spanish as a bit of fun before their holidays.

After receiving interest and encouragement from friends, language teachers and potential customers from around the world, the home made, hand drawn, board game has been transformed into a professionally designed and manufactured product following ‘thousands of hours’ of painstaking research and development.

It all started eight years ago when local dad Stephen Foster looked for a game to help his son Oliver to learn Spanish as he was having difficulty at school, but there was nothing available.
So he set about creating a simple question and answer formula which had Oliver picking up words and phrases very quickly. He then engaged the help of lifelong friend John Ainsley to develop the idea further and take it to the next stage.

The duo have worked hard with the help of their families to bring the idea to fruition and have initially produced 2,000 copies to test market the board game via the internet. Orders have already started to come in from around the world since the web site went live in September. Shoppers in Princes Quay had the opportunity to try out the game and buy the initial ‘limited edition’ version signed by its creators to mark the official ‘global launch’ of Comprendo!
